Take the robo guy, cause I want to do the ninja chick. We can't have 3 people doing the same char, or can we?
I'm really not serious, I may not even join the contest, but the choice is entirely your decision. But I can still suggest my oppinion.
The robo guy has a nice billowing cape that you could exaggerate, and a face that you could give some loving to. The ninja leaves little room for redesign, only making it less anime and more realistic.

The same character can be made by more than one person.
Frankly, I like Ibuki as a character better. But I guess either would work great, depending on how you re-designed them.
