I'm in! Things are very busy at school, but I'll do my best to get an entry done.

I've always loved Candyland, it was my favorite board game when I was younger, so it was my first choice for a redesign. Poop's already snagged Mr. Mint, so I'll be using Jolly for this competition.

I was planning to go with a darker theme, but I think that the existing design might already be scary enough. There are few things that I fear more than a rotund lizard with gumdrops protruding from his spine.

Tiny update. Haven't had any free time lately, but I did some quickie silhouettes this evening. Just playing around with some different ideas at this point.

Trying to incorporate the gumdrops in different ways, not sure if it's working.

Had to blow off some steam after the SAT today so I started modeling. Not much time, just roughing in some basic volumes.

I think I may have deviated too far from the concept, but I liked the proportions. We just had the demon contest and I didn't really want to do another short, pudgy demon character. Hopefully the next update will look more like the Jolly that we all know and love .

It's nice so far, but does indeed not resemble the concept all that much. I think it'd be a lot more recognisable if you at least had the tail and the gumdrops on the spine. I can understand that you want to re-arrange them, but with the proportions deviating so much from the original, it's probably not a good idea.

Yeah, I guess that I'm not really following the rules if I continue on this course. I'll do some tweaking and try to make him look more reptillian.

Don't worry about the gumdrops, that's one element that I hadn't planned to skimp on.

EDIT- Just a little bit more...

I'm beginning to wonder if I should just move this guy to Pimping and Previews. Candyland is nice, but I like where this one is going and I don't really want to change it.
