I was asked to make an art test last week, here is what i ended up with.
Dumpster
664 tris, 1024x D,S,N

Rotation:
http://www.tgz3d.com/dumpster2.avi
Storefront
1135 tris, 5 1024x D,S,N,R
I'm not planning on making any changes to them now, but could use the crits for future works.

teejeezee if you don't get the job from this, no one will! amazing work dude
I'd only say maybe add some dried up sticky drippings to the side and edges of the dumpster, I always see that stuff shining in the sun and quiver in my little booties thinking about how bad it probably smells. Maybe more dirty spots on the pavement sidewalk (the step looks great), more gum spots, go to a real japanese shop place and look down at what is under your feet, I dunno, maybe you did :P

that jap store rocks! i love the signage and stuff.. really go t and authentical feel to it. i think the mix between handmade and photosourced is a bit too blurry. you should decide on either side. either you source most of it or you do all of it by hand. its a bit like a mish-mash atm still looking cool, dude

Great stuff man, the windows and the door for the shop are wonderful!
Wouldn't mind seeing some textures as well

The squiggily bend to the bars below the window throws me. Other than that it all looks spot-on. Good luck with getting the job.

Thanks guys!
Sa74n, no photosourcing was used other than for the menu and the reflection map image.
Steady, yeah that sidewalk is looking pretty clean.
Striff, textures will be up a bit later.
Zergxes, Thats would be because in the refrence the mettal was all bent up.

looks awesome! just like the references u showed me. The dumpster looks the best except id bring up the rust normal more because it looks too smooth and less warn and weathered.
Good luck with the job
