I went to see it today, as good as the first IMO. More musical and somehow better visually.

I took my daughter to it today we all loved it and it was the first time she went to the cinema with me too.

I agree it was better than the first and they took on a lot of visual challenges also.

Wow better than the first? The first was pretty good movie. I still enjoy watching it. I'll have to gather my horde of children and descend upon the theater tomorrow.

Ror, how old is your daughter? I have a 2.5 year old boy <soon to be 3> and I'm wondering if this is something he'd like. He sat through 1/2 of Curious George when it came out.

Thanks, thnom. That's really encouraging. I'm going to take him to a matinee next week. I enjoyed the first one a good bit so if the 2nd is better I'll be able to sit through the whole thing too.

My wee girl just turned 3 last weekend. I think your wee boy would like it, theres lots of funny visual stuff and all wee kids love the squirrel trying to get his nut

Thanks for the reply ror, I'm looking forward to it, sounds like we'll have a great time.

I didn't go to Curious George with him so this will be our first movie together.

Thanks again guys.

Took my entire brood to see it tonight. Sucked for my gf though. Her baby started crying too much and she had to leave the theater with her until the baby fell asleep. =/

I liked it. I laughed more at the first one and I liked the original's story a lot more but was still an enjoyable movie. Worth seeing for Scrat alone. Scrat rocks.

saw it with the gf last night. i enjoyed it a lot. as expected the theater was swarming with kids. i think that added to the atmosphere because i haven't laughed out loud at a movie in ages! acorn heaven (and the scene after) was definitely one of the highlights.. and yes the visuals were breathtaking, MUCH improved over the first one!
