I started up max (max this morning thinking I'd rig up a character I'd just finished.I set up some biped bone positioning, went to copy / paste opposite, and found that I couldn't select these options. WHY? They are there but unable to be selected.

I opened up an older character file that already had a biped setup, selected a bone, and found that with this model I could copy/paste posture etc...

If anyone has any insight it'd be much appreciated.

First thing I'd check is to make sure you didn't have any non-biped objects selected accidentally. After that, I'm not sure why it wouldn't let you...

Yeah I checked that man..over an over...And it seems now even when I start a new max scene, create a biped, and try to do similar it is the same thing.

The only thing I can think of is the fact that I had installed the polyboost demo..(which I've now uninstalled)..frustrating

Have you downloaded the service pack for max 8 yet? If not, you need to. It fixes a lot of these types of issues.
