Autodesk have released Service Pack 1 for 3ds max 8. It includes a number of fixes across several functional areas, including Biped, Batch Render, Hair, Material Editor, Maxscript, Script Controller, SDK, Snaps, UV Unwrap and mental ray.

yeah fixes a pretty weird biped bug re hip rotation.

Skin's Abs. Effect spinner is still broken, doesn't update when you select another vertex. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Otherwise... it's about time for those fixes. The rushed release schedule does have its benefits, but in turn we get a lot more buggy code.

yeah i agree eric, also for subscription members max is going to implement power booleans sometime in the next month. no more usless boolean operations! yay!!!
