yes, please keep up the posting. love the colors on that first piece, though it's true that some of the strokes aren't quite as confident as they might be. still, the colors are unusual and striking, and it's an interesting looking character. nice work.

I like the bucket head lots. Really implies a lot with those rough strokes and the 1st graphism in this thread really does it for me. Not so into the rainbow noise of the last post.

OH GOD THE PSYCHO CS SCOUT IS OUT TO GET ME!?!?
That HAS to be a scout sniper rifle, right qube?
The orange one is definatly cool, the pink is a little too weird, the colours clash a little too much for my tastes.

cubic i can only guess what u talk about. like a vision of
hot and cold spots and such. well clashin colors is what
these pics are about and u cannot lessen it. eat it or eat
not
if pieces are extreme they are just becuz they have to to
make progress sort of. therell allways be calm things but
why not offend the viewer sometimes huh? ...
they were meant to be in the psychedelic corner anyway so
that some peoples taste and some arent pleased with it...
ill do more with saturation to the limit tho.
just gotta keep punching
title: fly butter fly.
hope one can make the association.
wanna keep this thread updated so i dig through my folders
and pick what i believe i havent showen so far and is worth
it.
currently busy with some researches on different subjects
thtas why im not working on anything. wanna finish the imp
sometime tho. and then get on with whatever...

awesome!!
i think put some space around him,
make it feel like he is really flying somewhere,
like flying low between crops or something.
since the background is similar color it feels too close,
push it back in space.. differnt colors maybe more green

your trendwhore stuff is starting to please me. guess that may be be of the orginal and vibrant colors you use lately not this standard shit ppl tend to use on such pics.
Really dig the butterfly.
Would be cool to see some character artowrk mixed with these color studies.

yes I agree with shimmer here, I think it's the interjection of natural looking media like paint and such that make it one step beyond that trandwhore nonsense design lecturers love and teach.

stop using that word please unless u believe applying a noise filter on a teapot model can be compared with what i do here. i think it has not alot in common and the term trendwhore should have been forgotten a year or two ago atleast. really bugs me that the shit tainted what some people do. even if u say u see a difference i dont like being compared with that shit. its got my name to it so use that

unfortunately this is what "teach yourself illustration" magazines have had in them since the designers republic got off the merry-go-round about 5 years ago.
Thats what it's called, what we are saying is that your older stuff was trendwhore and now its not You seem to have transcended it.
A whole generation of designers got praise for their trendwhore works from 01 to 04 by their peers and tutors but once out of that environment it's just useless boring design, sometimes pleasing to the eye but often devoid of class. I blame the porting of and updates of illustrator and freehand being moved to the PC environment, then onto p2p networks etc. Suddenly anyone could press a button, stretch some points and end up with something that looked professional.
