Hey, so I don't think I've ever fully entered in to one of the Polycount challenges. This challenge idea kicked some ass to me so I really wanted to get involved.
Great idea hawken.. tons of fun!! Here's my entry - got it to exactly 1024 tris:
I am hoping ot have it all UV'd tonight so I can paint it tomorrow.

I like it, and for some reason, totally what I expected from you, adam. Should look great textured, though I'd suggest off-setting the building a tad. I notice from the front view it's perfectly flat. Easy fix once you're textured and tweaking.

I forgot to bring my USB key home with me and left the tiki hut clubhouse at work. Since I couldn't spend time skinning that one I spent some time on a new one.
You're all welcome to come on over to mine when you get bored with your plots :P Mine comes with a beer fridge and X-Box 360

hahaha, that's great, Adam.
Only thing I could critique is the overuse of polys in the 360 controllers. Granted, they're pretty accurate. But I think those polys could have gone to better use.

So here is my entry to this challenge. Besides the challenges laid out by my man hawken I also wanted to challenge myself by completely hand-painting this. I got a new tablet when I started my 3W gig and wanted to use this opportunity to use it and challenge my painting skills. The style was to be cartoony... something you may see in a Banjo Kazooie game if it were to be released for XBox 360.
Hope you like it!

Nice job, really like style you have going, the texture on the wood is great. Since you have the back it's own texture space it would have been nice to have it not be mirrored from the sides, or use that space for something else, grass or something.
