Forgive me if this has been posted before but damn I can’t wait to play this game. One of the guys here at the office got the demo for it. The visuals are stunning plus beating a colossus is both rewarding and sad at the same time.

This makes me want to build a giant for my next project.

The demo was great. The feeling of bringing the colossus down after being at his feet is a great sense of accomplishment. They did a great job with that. Definately picking it up tomorrow. Plus it's only $40.

Man i've been preaching about this game at VOLITION forever! This is the type of game that inspired me to get a job in the industry. It's so creative and unique, I feel so proud for these guys to be getting great reviews and attention... maybe it'll stir up the industry a bit. Hopfully it'll show studios they don't have to follow market trends and churn out the same old thing over and over.

been waiting for this game for a long time. Ico is one of my favorite games. I never really figured out why forcably dragging along a helpless girl is fun, but it is.

I wish you were right but ICO actually did not do well sales wise despite how amazing it was and of course game companies are ran by bean counters so to them ICO was a flop

Oh I am not talking about sales, as Colossus has just been released so there's no way to tell yet how well it'll sell. I was talking about "attention and good reviews" and I think the right people in the industry will notice and slowly accept that everything doesn't have to follow the market trends.

For those people that care about "counting beans" as you put it, they'll never change anyway. Even if a company that's been following the market trends forever sees SotC as a success financially, I doubt they'll have the creativity in place high enough to pull something off that is equally grand.

What an incredible game. Just a few colossi into it, but it's clear this one is a winner. I didn't know just how much this one resided in the Ico universe, it's a welcome feature. It almost feels like I'm playing a game made by Miyazaki or something.

I'm usually very much against such a thing, but this is a very cinematic experience. My only gripe so far is the controls (especially on horseback), but considering the range of abilities the character has, I suppose it was somewhat unavoidable.

Four stars so far.

I'm three in. It'll be interesting to see how they change things up tactics-wise, if they do at all. Still very impressive, especially on the freaking PS2. The horse is amazing. Just standing next to it and watching it nuzzle you...it's those little things that make games like this special.

wow, what awesome animation it has. I'm totally enjoying this one. For issues with controling the horse I found It worked better if I just point him in the direction and let him do the running and steering. It's pretty good at navigating down winding paths by itself. So sit back grab a beer and hold x Still takes me like 5 tries to get on the horse though, haha. I just slayed a colossus, looked like a hero doing it, then I'm jumping around like a drunken Mario trying to get back on my horse.
