This weeks challange is brought to you by sexy young man named flaagan, and the letter R. Remember kids, R is for rape!
"Home-built Aircraft Racer"
Polycount range: 5500 - 7000
Texture & normal map size (optional): 512
The idea is to model a cobbled together single or two seater aircraft, designed for a race. Smallish weapons are ok,
but the idea is that these things are built in the racer's garage beside their home, not by some megacorp,
so they want to focus on a better power : weight ratio... speed, not firepower, is the key.
The vehicle should conceivably be something that could actually fly at speed, not a bathtub with wings and a propeller.
The 'era' of the plane can be anything from oldschool barnstormers to wipeout:pure racers, and anything beyond that;
powered by props or divergent turbines with four-corner hover-pads, doesn't matter. Just get ready to race!

If we get any interest in this one i think we can extend it into next week as well because it requires a bit more time than most people will probably have in a week, and since this was started on a tuesday that would be a very short week.

you had to add weapons? for a race? madness. Can we at least keep racing non-violent?

my question is, simply, basically any flying vehicle for any era as long as it's not a real life plane? so it can look like a showroom model if said builder(s) were professional mechanics and metal smiths?
Just making sure, cause I have a few ideas floating around in me skull. May go futuristic or may go middle ages da vinchi style.

Do we have to fit everything on a single texture/normal map, or can we use multiple ones?
