has anyone else here done it? i recently tried it for the first time tonight at a hookah bar with some friends, i find that i like the stuff.

Depends on the flavour of the tobacco.
Or if its even tobacco thats being smoked =]

hookah is flavored tobacco that you smoke

god man dont do too much of that stuff its like sucking on 10 cigars. asking for trouble.

My brother's friend brought him back a hookah from somewhere in Europe (not sure exactly where he got it). He also brought back some cherry flavored Pakistani tobacco. I took a few drags, and wasn't too crazy about it... but I'm also not much of a smoker. The hooka itself looks pretty cool.

Yes, and yes (if you want to). Basically anything you would smoke in a pipe or bong can be smoked in a hookah.

IMHO any kind of smoking isn't worth it. The human body wasn't really designed to intake any of the stuff that goes in when you smoke, whatever the substance.

You took that pretty personally. If people want to smoke, let em. Sure it kills them, but it's something they enjoy. Soda, bad eating habbits, all that causes you to die quicker, but people do it because they'd rather live a shorter lifetime and enjoy themselves rather than live a longer lifetime with so many restraints. I myself do not smoke just because I don't see the appeal in it. Although sometimes if you're a parent it could be out of respect for your kids or something like that not to smoke.

oh no i didnt take it personally, i do think the world, particularly this city, is over crowded.

I say if people want to smoke thats fine as long as they arent doing it next to me while I'm eating a meal in a restaurant or whatever. But those hookah things are particularly bad, I got one in Turkey a while ago because it looked really cool. Tried smoking it a few times just to try it out with some apple flavour tobacco. It was pretty nice to be quite honest and gave a nice tingly light headed sensation. And then one day I decided to clean it out, discovered the black goop dripping inside the pipes etc, and threw it out.
