Not been around much lately thought I whack up some of the stuff Ive been doing ..
Acrylic 36 x24 This was painting practice, the likeness is completely screwed but it turned out allright.
A bit of a strange direction for me, not painted like this before but it was fun , originally this piece started out more as a realistic painting of blossoms but i got 80% of the way there and didnt like it. So I painted it over with red !! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] and it turned into this.

This one is a bit wierd, was trying to recreate japanese Ukio-e prints
The inspiration came from this:-
Behold your namesake Tsuru the crane
In the heart of winter she folds one leg
and buries her head under a wing
moving not a muscle
That is what it means to survive on courage alone
Itezuru the frozen crane
that desperate struggle is her beauty
She doesnt resist,
she doesnt complain
She relies on herself
drawing out the last ounce of strength
Is that not the way of all who truly follow thier hearts ?
