I quite often like making swooping gestured brush movements in photoshop, but the results are often pretty dissapointing: ie what should be a nice curving arc is infact a series of short lines, like the movement is quantised. Is there some setting somewhere or some way to improve this? I've got a fairly good pc (3ghz pentium, 1 gig ram) an intuos 2 a4, and photoshop 7. Any thoughts?

Have you tried checking the "Smoothing" box in the Brushes palette? That does the trick for me.
