[RIP] Andre Norton 1912-2005
I used to read her stuff voraciouslywhen I was in Junior High and hoghschool. it was allways, to me a little off, but fascinating, just the same. Like watching a subtitled movie. it didn't hurt that she had a talent for portraying non-human characters, making them seem very alien, without being repulsive. I think she may have been the intorduction for a lot of science Fiction readers. she will be missed.
