hey there guys. is there a way to link changing the falloff of your soft selection to a hotkey, so that when you press it the falloff increases, and when you press another key, it decreases?

it would be best, of course, if you could make it so that when you hold a key, and click and drag the mouse, the falloff raises or lowers, as if you'd clicked and held on the falloff roller in the command pannel.

that make any sense?

if someone has a way of doing either of these things i'd sing praise to you for decades.

one more thing- anyone know how to make it so that when i roll the mouse wheel, it zooms in in smaller steps?

You might try Soft Selection Manipulator

About the mouse wheel, when you use the standard Zoom tool instead, you can use the Ctrl key to speed it up. Otherwise, you could try the Rescale World Units utility, which should "scale" the mouse wheel increment as well. Probably not what you want though.

Why not just CTRL-ALT-MiddleClick and drag to zoom? It's smooth and doesn't require clicking on anything else!

Hold down the alt key while using the middle mouse wheel to zoom to use smaller increments, press the ctl button to zoom in larger increments.

This also works for spinner values, hold down the alt key to spin in smaller increments, use the ctl key to spin in larger increments.
