Hello all,
after a loong break from modelling (coding 3d engine) found some time again
I am not that good in 2d texturing so trying to do most with polys Today's work (before there was extensive image research) started from a box.

after 4 hours:

and another 3:

next comes more tweaking with the smoothing and some more exterior detail (mirrors, handles, tank opener) and then the interior.
Going for approx 5000 in total or so...

According to the rest of the model the rims look really poly heavy. Otherwise I love it...

thx,
the rims indeed are quite heavy, however I will further reduce them.

hehe EQ, yeah it's been a while, coding has taken me on the dark side

The shading detail is very well pulled off.
I'd suggest putting more polies into the more round areas to make everything seem even more high poly.
Right now the car looks very smooth. But the illusion breaks once you see the jagged edges of areas that are supposed to be more round.

It's looking real nice, though.

with very basic interior...

next comes a more detailed dashboard, then I will try to spend a more polys on the chassis as soul suggested

the gas cap kinda ruins things atm, maybe I should better paint it, also the rearbumper is joining too smoohtly with the back.
