Here the result of my work for the Turrican modeling Contest (^_^)
Maybe some of you still remember the good old C64/Amiga Game by Factor5.

You can find the Model complete with Textures and Wallpaper on
my page or the contest site.
Its completely free and can be used by anyone.

Yep, thats the Turrican all right. Good work, can we see some wires and flats?

Thermidor: Yeah I blew at this game as well.

Here the wireframe version:

The model has about 10k Polys;
I think this could be optimized a little bit,
but then maybe also normal maps should be used,
because the reflection of the environment-mapping
might get cracks otherwise...

i see some places you put a mesh smooth on? like the arm connect point for instance, thats usualy not a good way to go about building a model, you coul pretty much make a model with the same level of detail at about half the polys . it shows some good potential, but keep cracking and keep improving!

Yes, you're right - I should keep on improving :-)
This model was my first Character with skeleton
I just started with Maya about 3-4 Months ago.

I was smoothing a little around the arms, thats right.
I found the environment-map there was very ugly before;
Maybe its better to apply smoothing by hand ...
