Lots of great additions. This puppy is sneaking up fast on the commercial apps.

I tried Blender more than a year ago while I was studying Python. It's a great app, but the interface was terrible. They've had many significant updates since then, so I hope the UI was one of them. The screenshots look great. I'll give it another try soon. I know Cheap and KDR have a lot of luck with the program. And the rendering looks top notch.

Plus it has actual editing of the sub-d mesh, something that max lacks... nice!

I was about to post this :P but thanks anyways, i'll give it a try.

On a slightly unrelated note, MakeHuman 2.0 is odd though, still seems limited but we'll see

WOAH FOUND A BUG ALREADY IN THE BG IMAGE THINGER

Apparently Blender is catching up with all the hate on .GIF files... i'll just make it a png and move along

Played around with it a bit... the new mesh editing tools are definitly a huge improvment! I still prefer modeling with Wings3d, but I am starting to like Blender (a bit ).
