Perhaps you forgot to convert to 8 bit?

k, i went over everything again, i exported the skin in wally to 8bit then converted it using wal2pcx then replaced that with the original in my model folder then i unlinked and linked again in Npherno's Skin Tool then i exported the model again in q2 modeler but i still got the same result.

Are you using the Q2 palette or making you own?

Try loading a pcx from Quake 2 and pasting your skin into it. This'll ensure it's the same palette, color depth and everything.

Hope this helps.

"Red and black"? Something's putting the null texture on him. Make sure the skins are named correctly (i.e garg_i.pcx for icon, garg.pcx for the skin)
