Basically it indexes your PC, and your email. Then you can find anything with the google interface.

That is one utility that is waiting for a backdoor trojan to happen. Once one is written for it your machine will be wide open and easily searched. Sorry about the gloom and doom I guess I've been doing support too long and getting tooo jaded.

That thing by itself is spyware, it reports stuff to its master.

Google only needs to collect a little more information before it declares us all obsolete and replaces us with perl scripts.

Sheez Techsmith I don't want a trojan in my backdoor, I may hold off on this until my Boss dl it and then installs it on all our workstations.

Let's all hope Google holds to its foundation principle of "Don't be evil!"

I don't think I'd have much use for this. I also am a bit creeped out by it. I'm a fan of Google, but I'm also admittedly paranoid about what I have running on my computer. This is just a little too much info being collected by a program that's "FREE!"

Anyway, it's very rare that I lose anything on my computer. I have a pretty good organizational system that I stick to. I also don't use Outlook or AIM and very rarely save documents in Microsoft Office formats unless I'm sending them to someone. (I use OpenOffice.org)
