Might as well do it on these new boards hmm?

I'll start off with this cool site with many up close squirrel references.

Human anatomy references, also the online home of Andrew Loomis' figure drawing books.

Thomas Suurland's homepage, with a metric assload of various blueprints of all kinds of vehicles.

Henry Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body. Plenty of in-depth stuff on muscles and internal organs.

Buildings, all sorts.

Mayang's online collection of free textures. If you have the spare cash, I recommend buying the collection on CD. Exceptionally good value.

ImageAfter, a good archive of assorted textures and reference photos.

I'll make this thread sticky for the time being, if you post a reply in it, please include a link to a site that hasn't already been linked in your post, to avoid cluttering the thread.

I love beating a dead horse.

I've been called wierd for this in the past, but for human model references, I use mannequins. In the gameing world, the typical character has ideal proportions. Mannequins display that hero image quite well with flawless sculpted form. I got a full body male and female set for under 100$ on ebay. Great for studying muscles and proportions.

Tons of textures, well-organized, mostly 512's, all tiled (though often an ugly tiling job).

I like the Flesh ones... not easy to find decent pathology textures on the web., and this is a nice large collection.

They're free, mostly...
"All images in this site are free of rights. These images are created with personal works, images of the web or send by friend. I can&#146t control all images precisely used, thanks to said me if some images are not free."
... the ceramic tile ones are probably ©'d.

There is a section in here: http://www.planetquake.com/polycount...ef_links.shtml marked Artillery and Weaponry. I am sure you can find something useful in there.

wow, I didn't even know about that drainage thing. There's some pics on that site that would make some really nice "massive structure" lighting reference...something that I've always found alittle difficult.

I use HTTrack website copier to download images. It's free and very customizable. I've got it set up to just copy all the image files from a site to one directory so that it's easy to use ACDSee to browse the images. That's opposed to downloading all the html files and having to navigate a copy of the site offline.

Cool temple images by the way.
