Time to start something new , going to be working on Jin from Samurai Champloo.
I can already tell his clothes are going to be tricky, especially the hakama.

Just a dynamesh blob,working out the proportions, going to throw it in maya to make the basemesh.

Goals:
More organized sculpt.
Learn to use polygroups.
Open mouth.
Better low poly,topology,tris etc.
More work on textures/color.

Blocking in some placeholder hair n glasses to help with proportions etc.

oooh man I love this already. Perhaps you could pull the jaw back a bit, and look at the chin as it seems a bit wide to me.

Don't have enough positive things to say about the show! Great choice, can't wait to see more ^^.

wow man thats a rad fanart! loved the show. one thing i could add is maybe making him a bit taller, he was the tall, slim character of the show.. id maybe reduce the size of the head a bit. waiting for more

It's looking good ArtisticTiger. I'd give em a little more of a ribcage in the back and in the sides if you're gonna see it or have the clothing up tight in those areas. Can't wait to see it finished! Definitely give em a cool pose.

I agree with KiwiHead. Slim em down. Those arms a little beefy.

Ugh making slow progress. Still a lot of work to do(wakizashi,glasses , etc.) high poly is almost finished i guess...Really hope i can finish in time. Still using placeholder hair as well.

I like it for the most part, although the pants look extremely weird. The wrinkles and folds don't flow naturally and they're completely flat on the bottom. You've got a lot more work to do down there if you want the pants to match the quality of the upper body.

I think you've gone way overboard with your wrinkles. Grab yourself some good quality photo reference. The treatment of the clothing in the show is quite realistic so there shouldn't be much need for translation to the anime style.

I do agree with Jackablade. Definitely overboard. You have a couple kimonos in your big collage, but I think you elected to ignore them ^.^

Hey, thanks guys! really appreciated. But I'm not going to finish this challenge,way too miserable working on this, idk why i chose to work on it. deleted the files this morning, that's how bad i hated it lol. Had so much fun working on Comicon from start to finish, really enjoyed that.... But anyway if an Admin can delete this thread it'd be great thanks.
