Finally started doing some more personal work. still very WIP but any comments would be appreciated!

Some observations:

Haven't finished the sculpting but I'm not happy with the wings, probably going to try a different shape with more of a distinctive silhouette.
Will try different grip types.
Will keep experimenting with blade shape.
Blade shading errors :(

    Some progress. Need to do something with the guard and polish the eagle heads a bit more. Also not sure about the blade shape, it's very impractical.

    The grip, pommel and crossguard look really cool! The feathers on the crossguard wings could be a bit more precise I think though. As for the blade, I think if you made the edge bevel wider and tapered the blade more towards the tip (or did the flared out "leaf" blade shape from the reference), it could look much better. With the current edge bevel it feels much larger than it should.

    Thanks Billy! The crossguard definitely needs a lot of work.
    Did a new blade, might make the bottom center portion of it a bit more interesting but other than that I think it's much better.
