I was able to complete a sketch today and hope to paint over it into a concept later this week.
Zyra usually has flowers along her shoulders with vines that wrap around her arms. I plan on making a translucent bio-container that holds that plant along her shoulders.
I also have to figure out something for her hair and brows. Ideas welcome.
Oh yeah, the top of the neck to just below the navel will be all flesh. The rest will be bio-synthetic metal.
Question, can anyone think of a better way to incorporate the vines?

I've decided to redo the shoulder area one more time before I move on to the base mesh. I still wanted to incorporate plant life with the new skin (she is a renegade terraform A.I. after all).
So I converted the shoulder into a biosphere that will hold a thorny alien plant inside of it. The vines will shoot out of a funnel so she can use them as whips, and grow fauna just like the original theme!
Begun sculpting the head. Using portrait photos (Alina and Tout Passe V) taken by Alexander Kuzmin for reference. I like the model's strong and other worldly features.
Please feel free to help me correct my proportions and geometric forms before I get too far ahead. Thanks.
