Hi Polycount!

Our USC Games team, The Maestros, is looking for 3D Artists Animators, and VFX artists to join our development team till ship date in May 2014. If you want to join the team, email Brian Choi at b.choi117@gmail.com with your portfolio, resume, a statement about which positions you are applying for, and a short cover letter.

We're hiring for:

Character Artists (Priority)

VFX Artists (Priority)

Riggers (Priority)

Animators

Environment Artists


What is The Maestros:

The Maestros is an online multiplayer UDK real-time strategy game, set in a humorous fantasy world plagued in a symphony of war. Lead your armies to victory with your battlefield commander, the Maestro, with armies of transformable automatons or mutating wicked chimeras.

As CV for the USC Games' program in general, here are previous games that the program has finished and "shipped" in previous years, and/or currently developing. This is the quality of games we've been able to create in less than a year each.

Some examples of Final Games in year's past:
Blink - a Stealth Action game involving short range teleports.
Tales from the Minus Lab - a recent recipient of a IGF 2013 Student Showcase Honorable Mention
Paradox Shift - A time-jumping puzzle game
Nevermind - A Scary game that gets harder if the BPM Monitor attached to your chest reads faster heartbeats

And some of last academic year's productions:
Core Overload - a Space Ship Arcade ShootEmUp.
Scrapyard - Animals in mech suits fight each other a la Super Smash Bros.

Unfortunately, no. All team members are expected to pay for their own way to GDC, though we are organizing together for room and transport.

Big update:

"The Maestros" will also be at this year's Game Developers Conference 2014 on the Expo Floor! Have the opportunity to present to fellow game developers in San Francisco this year by joining the team!

We are still looking for:

Character Artists
VFX Artists

And more importantly, a User Interface Artist (Doesn't have to be a amazing portfolio, we do actually have a preset visual. As long as you can emulate and be committed and responsible, we would like you to join us!)
