Can you move objects in the 3d view without using the gizmos?

I was wondering if there's a way to move objects in the 3D view without having to click on the gizmos. Feels like I could be missing something obvious.

Not that I know of, but you could probably code it up as an editor script?

You could type in coords in the object's properties, but I'm assuming thats not what you meant :P

You can click on drag on the x y and z coords in the inspector to scrub those values.

Another way to move an object without having to grab the gizmo at the x,y or z is hold shift and you can get a screen based movement. You still have to grab the object by the center of the gizmo though. Also try ctl and shift, gives you a snap to colliders in scene again allowing you a little more than the gizmo by itself.

oh shift move mode is pretty good, thanks a lot mookster. Funny, even knowing it's there now I can't find any reference to it online.
