So, apparently some concept art was Leaked.
I don't know much about the game other than it's supposedly going to be an mmo and will be released for the current gen of consoles, I think. The concept art looks slick as hell but, as someone on reddit pointed out:

If these are really Destiny concept shots, then that means someone took concept art from an EA game and slightly edited it for use in concept art for an Activision published game :0

The first one almost looks like it just just copy pasted for a quick concept or mood board, which isn't a big deal if its just being used internally.

Though i have some doubts about the first image. It looks very very much like the armor/helmets you see in blacklight retribution. Well helmet more then the armor. Just wondering if some of the same ppl work on destiny as well.

Haha that left me on the floor laughing - Yea i think a pitch has gone wrong when the word fun needs to brought to our attention, i would assume a video game was fun by default....although anybody who has ever played an mmo, knows that at one point or another it turns into a horrible grindfest (a.k.a game-work = not fun...).
This looks spiffy though, first image and 2nd, yep lazy concept artist.
Was kinda hoping for a new Marathon though...the world doesnt need more franchises, just fun games!

And I believe I heard that the second picture is from a canceled command & conquer project with the dude in the first picture poorly photoshoped in.
My heart goes out to those people who couldn't show off their work on their terms.
Anyway, I'm fucking excited! That pitch sounds like promising the sky and the moon, but I have confidence that Bungie actually have all the expertise and backing to make this work.

if its for internal moodboards why not? if the artist is supposed to pump out a ton of the in a day, for getting a rough feel of something why would they spend hours painting a scifi armored dude when they can just google image a bunch of stuff and cram it all together? it happens all the time, its just not usually seen by anyone outside of the team. i wouldnt call it lazy at all, rather working smart within a super quick timeline for something rough to explore ideas.
That's an argument against Mass Effect?? Where you could be any skin color and any gender???
Just because the marketing used a default male Shepard didn't stop you from customizing the character to your liking, which most players did. And if there's any game known for a strong female lead it has to be Mass Effect, too. They even released FemShep versions of both the CG trailer* and the launch trailer, damnit.

I guess they'll be going public with the title and probably have a trailer? With all of the rumors about it being for this gen and next-gen consoles, sometime this year would make sense for a release date, right?
