2D/3D Game Artist With Awesome (St. Paul, MN, USA)

Graveck Interactive LLC seeks a talented multidiscipline 2D/3D game artist with a creative edge to help drive artistic direction and design for game development. You will operate with a small team so a well-rounded skill-set that can be applied to a variety of situations is valued. You will work with our team to develop art direction and create beautiful characters and environments utilizing all the bells and whistles the Unity game engine has to offer. Targeted game platforms may include PC, Unity web player, and iPhone.

Required
• Work out of our Saint Paul office
• Ability to create high quality 3D models and textures for use in real-time gaming
• Strong demonstrable artistic and creative flare
• Experience with a 3D package such as Maya and/or Blender
• Experience and knowledge with Adobe Photoshop
• Must be able to work in both a team atmosphere and independently
• Willing to learn and adopt new technologies
• Able to receive and deal professional, constructive criticism
• Strong digital art fundamentals

Bonus
• Experience with the Unity game engine.
• Ability to sketch concept art and storyboards.
• Experience and knowledge of character modeling, rigging, and animation.
• Willing to work flexible hours to meet deadlines.
• Good project and time management skills.
• Experience with technical art such as Cg shaders
• A good instinct for “fun” gameplay and desire to discuss and dissect games on our in-house systems

You will be focusing on 1-2 projects over the summer months, and during that time period we could arrange any number of options such as an internship, freelance contract-for-hire job, and most definitely a full or part time position.
