Well I'm working alone and I present to all of you that AM concept inspired on Chinese Styles, shaolin, monks and the AM from dota... all that themes. I'm a beginner with modeling process (learning blender right now) and digital painting, just i'm do it for fun (for now....

).

nice design..
i like monk/cloth style on AM mage

imo you take too much risk on Red colour..
how about replace red with his default purple ?

Yea I did it too, but I wanted to make anothcer scheme colour :P

Red looks a bit better, but since it needs to fit his style I would also go for his default purple. (I don't even know if valve allows new colors, if they do you could try some variation on purple maybe a bit more blue so it keeps a shiny effect while getting darker)
