Texture artist wanted for '50s-themed space game

We are Toward the Stars, an Advanced Games Project at the University of Southern California, and we're in need of a dedicated texture artist!

Toward the Stars is a Co-op First Person Action Game for PC, in which you and a group of friends take control of a spaceship to experience the wonder and perils of the universe. From space pirates hi-jacking your ship, to accidental kitchen fires, you must band together to make it through the chaos.

We are creating a stylized and cel-shaded 3D world, interpreting the idealistic happy-go-lucky sentiment of the 50’s Space Age, and looking at it through a postmodern lens. We look to artists like Kevin Dart and Pascal Campion as inspiration for the style that has a painterly texture, but from afar look realistic.

Our team has over 30 members of engineers, designers and artists, and we're looking to add one more to make this game really come alive!

Recognized as the #1 game design program in North America, USC Games shares close connections within the entertainment and gaming industry. As one of the Advanced Game Projects, Towards the Stars will be featured in USC’s Demo Days in May. Demo days give us the opportunity to present in front of industry professionals and big companies such as Riot, Blizzard/Activision, Sony, and Disney. This is a great chance for you to network and show off your work to big time professionals!
