Got wrapped up in work, so didn't see this till now. Since I had to work, I just closed the scene without saving. I'll see if I can reproduce the problem, then save it out, and send it to support. Thanks for the help

I know I'm really showing my ignorance here, but what's an RCS? Sorry, long day, long night.

Jeremy: 3ds keeps a healthy amount of autobackups for scenes you recently worked on.
RCS = Reference Coordinate System
You most likely know what that is, but if not, check it out in the Max help, as it's extremely powerful. You'll be using it all the time in any kind of modeling (including 3ptools)

Oh, yeah, I know what it is, just haven't heard it called anything before... No, changing the RCS did nothing to fix the problem.

Checked autoback, and there it was, yay I'll up it somewhere, and post here if that's ok. Thanks for your help

Jeremy: Reset X-Form, bro. Essentially, never scale an object in max. Scaling on subobject level is fine, but not on object level, as that will break most tools.

Hmmm, I don't remember doing anything like scaling. But whatever, problem fixed. Thanks a lot man. Can't wait to really dive in, and use this tool for something real.

Np! If you bring up the transform type-in you'll see -100 on one of the scale axes. That's the same as flipping/mirroring the mesh (a scale operation).

This tool has a lot of potential if you can get the hang of it, i'm trying to get the hang of it but for now i'm having a hard time going beyond one reference plane, at least with a smooth curve that is, anyways just out of curiousity can i ask how you guys configure your RCS shortcuts as i've never done that and am having a hard time coming up with anything easy to use...and sry if this has been answered before, but can/will the tool conform to other surfaces?
