Pivot and missing faces problem in udk.

I am trying out udk(not UE4) and I am having issues with my mesh.I combine a number of meshes in Maya and exported them as a fbx file.On import,the static mesh is missing a good number of its faces as well as the pivot is off even after I centered the pivot,freezed the transformations,deleted the history.I even reversed the face normals of the whole mesh to see if the faces missing in udk will be inverted but the same faces are still missing and the pivot is still off.

Any way this can be fixed?I really what to start building my level.Will apprecaite any help.Thanks.

EDIT:Fixed the missing faces problem.The pivot thingy still persists.I freezed transformations,and centered the pivot but when I import the mesh into udk.The pivot seems to move elsewhere.
