UDK Occulus-faceted static mesh problem??

I have been struggling with this for the past one week, whenever I export from 3dsmax 2014 into the udk occulus version (September 2013),the mesh comes out looking faceted.
Also if I have a mesh with up to 3 different uvws, udk only imports the mesh with 2 uvws. I am guessing this udk version had bugs with fbx plugins which never got ironed out before epic decided to drop it?
