Maya occasionally loads file wrong?

So I created a model that looks like this:

Usually it loads fine like this, but sometimes when I open it the file looks like this:

Even if it's the exact same file. Has anyone ever run into this problem before?

Are you referring to why it sometimes loads the file posed, and other times defaults to the standard T-Pose? If so, and your poses are keyed on the timeline, with 0 being the T-Pose, and 1 - Whatever being the action pose you show, then its because sometimes Maya defaults to or starts with the timeline set to 0.

If its the sorting issue you're referring to, as with the skirt, or where the arm attaches to the gun, then its the standard Maya alpha sorting issue.

If its something else, you're going to have to explain further.

Ah, sorry I should have been more specific. It was the alpha sorting issue that I was wondering about.

Thanks for the help, I've been able to look into it a bit and think I should be able to work around it. At least now I know it isn't specifically the model.

One thing that works for me for alpha sorting is to change to Viewport 2.0, and set the Transparency to Depth Peeling and crank the slider all the way up.
