Adjusting walking animation for different directions

I just started working on a new engine and it appears that there's no support for animation blending inside animation trees, like in Unreal. The coders asked me to create walking animations for NW, NE, SW, SE directions. So far, i only got N, S, W and E animations. Do you guys have any ideas on how to automate this? I'll have to adapt all my animations, including walking, running, crouch walking, etc.
