Hi Everyone! After tons of crazy hard work we finally got this one done, its a long one too and has everything you could want for cascade, from absolute beginners to making cool particles. The full information is below! :)

In this demonstration the instructor starts off by going over the entire cascade interface and then through most of the common modules. Once the foundation is laid it’s on to creating several effects from scratch. Everything from creating an explosion, hit effects, water drips, laser beams, and trailes are covered.

If you have never used cascade you should be able to follow along and understand. Even if you are experienced using cascade, you should pick up useful information throughout the DVD.

About the Instructor:
Bryan Erck has worked in the video game industry for over 10 years and has shipped 15 titles. Some of those titles are, "Star Wars Ep1: Racer", "Gladius", "Matrix: Path of Neo" and "Blacksite: Area 51". Bryan started in the video game industry in QA at LucasArts when he was 19 years old and from there he became a Technical Artist and then has been doing in game special effects for the last six years.

Bryan is currently the Lead Visual Effects Artist at BioWare working on Star Wars: The Old Republic.

    one other thing I'd like to see a tutorial on (because hell if I've seen one yet, maybe you guys can point me in the right direction) is shader networks. I always see these complex charts of squares and lines and have NO idea wtf I'm looking at. I know there's something similar (at least similar looking) in Maya but I'm primarily a max user. so yeah, those.

    but this looks awesome, and all the eat3d tutorials so far have been ace!

    The closest thing I can think of is the unreal materials DVD, but its all for Unreal editor 3. http://eat3d.com/materials

    As for max, it doesnt have shader networks like maya but there are a few plugins out there that will allow you to do it I think. A couple that come to mind are Node Joe and ZooKeeper which is in beta.

    yeah I've seen those - and I actually think I might be thinking of that material DVD, I just totally forgot it was available, I'll check it out - thanks!
