UE4: Why won't my scale work in blueprints?

So i got this fence blueprint for the content example and started tweeking it so it would fit my needs. Basically its a blueprint and you give it two meshes, one for the end and start point and one for all the parts in-between. Now i want to enable the user to scale it, because the mesh might be to large or small but it's not working. this is what the blueprint looks like:
