It looks too small at the moment, that will be barely readable from a gameplay view. It's a really nice design though so maybe make it a little bigger so people can see your hard work.

thanks Mdk, but the default weapon size is already small.. is it ok if i increase the size??

Make sure you don't overdo it with the self illum on the ice, it adds a really ugly glow that washes everything out if you put too much.
I tuned it all a bit after the last pic. I try to match the ice color in the mug a bit more towards the sigil and the particle effect, and the particle effect of the walrus punch which both have a good amount of blue in it. So here is the latest color_texture I did, tuned the masks accordingly, I also checked the ice of Ancient Apparition which has quite a good amount of sun reflection on it when on radiant side, in the shot below you can hopefully see how it changes when on dire side and according to different ground levels.
Now I wanna look into the particle system and change the position of it, so the ice,cold, snow particle effect will be more around the mug and the ice. But again this gonna be trial and error. (EDIT: apparently only 5 heroes have particles effect which you can customize, Tusk not being one of them so, close to finish then)

hey mihalceanu, nice axe mate one suggestion though, U could add some more texturing near the eyes and above it.. like on the helmet thingy.. Just a suggestion, keep up the good work.
Some progress on the hood for Shadow Shaman. I am having this weird issue where I want to do some stitches down the middle of the hood but it is making 2 lots of stitches that overlap. It is confusing because with symmetry turned on, it snaps to the centre so you would think it would only make 1 set. Does anyone know how to solve this? Also PLEASE give me soem feedback on this design! :
I feel like the cloth folds around his ears looks a little unnatural. And it doesn't look like there's anything holding the bottom half of the hood up that high. It just looks to me like it would fall and bunch up around his neck and under his jaw.
I really like the necklace design and execution though. You might need to tweak the scale just a bit to make it readable in game.

I agree re the shadow shaman hood, and the silencer hood.
For the shadow shaman hood maybe you could try having that lower "mouth piece" hang loose at the front? So it kinda mimics a loose lower lip of sorts.
As for the silencer hood I liked the asymmetry too, but I think having it hang over his eyes is what's causing it to look like a bit of a mess. If you don't mind me messing around with your concept a little bit, can I suggest this?
Alternatively you could have it cover both his eyes instead of just his right and let it rest above his nose.

Think of how symmetry works. It's a mirror. It sounds like your making a stroke across the point of symmetry back and forth which is at the middle of the stitch. Picture that single stitch and then picture it mirrored over the point of symmetry which is the middle of the stitch and it makes an X. With symmetry on you can't have a single stitch going across the middle like that. It'd be a V.
Or I'm a dingus and looking closer at the pic you meant the sloppy overlap of two X,s. looks like it wasn't perfectly centered when you projected the x down so it mirrored the offset X on both sides. I'd just use clay buildup or something and carefully paint a stroke across a few times over itself.

I think you're right and there is no easy way to do this. It's just confusing because when you use symmetry, there is a small red dot that appears to display where the mirrored sculpting will appear. The confusing part is when you bring the red dot to the line of symmetry, it actually becomes 1 dot that is slightly bigger than the previous 2 red dots, this to me logically says that it is only going to do 1 lot of sculpting instead of mirroring it, that's just what seems natural to me but that could just be my mind being weird!
In any case, thanks for all the feedback guys, you have been really helpful and I think it's back to the drawing board for a while on this one! I will finish before the end of the week though
My current progress on the hood/necklace. I think I need to do something with the top part to make it stand out more but I'm not sure what to do =/

I was thinking of adding a logo or something to the top/side. Maybe just the Dota logo, or "Whale Ale", something like that. Does anyone know what the deal is with Logos or text regarding what is allowed?
That's looking really nice! I would definitely not put the Dota logo but Whale Ale might work if you made a good logo for it, otherwise I would just say leave it how it is.

Great work! It's cool because you can look at either way and it can look like a bird with a big bent beak or a bird with a small pointed beak.

You might want to edit your self illumination mask as the hood is currently glowing ingame which looks a little strange.
