Unable to get the lighting needed on an object

I've been making a scene in UDK and everything is working out fine apart from this one object that I just cannot get the lighting I need on it. :poly127: I've tried converting the light to all types, ticked and unticked all relevant boxes but for the life of me, I just cannot get the object to become lit. In the first image, you can see the preview lighting before rendered. This is exactly what I want it to look like - a circle of light with the rest of the object being darker. The second image is what I'm always given when I render the lighting. A solution to this would make me very happy.

It looks like your light map resolution is too low. The shadows that are being baked are overflowing into the UV shells of where there is light. So a few questions:

    1. Do you have a second UV channel for the lightmap? If not, add one.

    2. Once you have a lightmap UV, you have two options. Bump up the lightmap resolution for the object, or (if you are concerned with efficency) give your UV shells more padding.

Let me know if this solves it, or if you still have issues.
