Battlestar Galactica Raptor. need advice in presentation

Hi all. first sorry for my english

here is a model of colonial raptor rendered in toolbag 2... not so low poly its 26000 tri with weapons models attached to.

my goal is to take some renders and put them in my portfolio
so before i do that I would glad to hear what you guys think ?

First of all I would say don't render on a totally black background. A lot of people use a dark grey or very dark navy blue.

The contrast and color saturation on your diorama base is stronger than your mesh. Something to consider when your main color is beige.

Like asaNYC said the contrast is really strong between the platform and ship in the first two images. Not only the contrast but the lights as well. There is too much taking attention away from the ship, so id say render the ship on a very basic platform or no platform at all.

Thank u guys for your great tips.
I change the background color and now i see more clearly the silhouettes.
For the beige color i changed the specular map color from white to golden and i think now i am getting more of the contrast of it. I uploaded the recent renders and i upload a referance photo from the wing.

I like how your materials are looking right now. As for the damage you have on it, having the damage just on the edges of the plates doesn't really make sense. It should be running across the whole panels I think. Try and make it look more intentional and think about why the scratches are where they are. Keep up the good work!
