About Us:
Tiberian Genesis, is a small multinational video game development team that collaborates online. We have team members working remotely from the USA, UK, Netherlands, Germany and Romania. There are roughly 12 of us in total, and 6 of us reside in the UK. We are currently developing Command & Conquer (C&C) Generations, which is a not-for-profit community project built with CryEngine. The project aims to give students more experience and help them transition into the industry.
We are not affiliated with EA games, but since early on in the life of the Command & Conquer series there has been a sizeable community of mappers and modders, Tiberian Genesis stems from this community. EA games has continued to allow the work of modders in order to allow for a sustainable C&C community. More recently, EA allowed the release of Renegade X as a stand-alone release using UDK. With C&C Generations, we hope to carry on the tradition and spirit of community generated content, and are planning to create and release a demo for free to the C&C community.

About Command & Conquer Generations:
Command & Conquer (C&C) Generations is a re-imagining of the classic Tiberium series as a single-player First Person Shooter that focuses on gripping storytelling for a mature audience. C&C Generations goes beyond being just another modern war shooter and aims to deliver an immersive and thought provoking experience that closely mirrors our own world.

Story Synopsis:
The year is 2021, it has been almost two decades since the end of the First Tiberium War. The Brotherhood of Nod is fractured and disorganised, regularly suffering from internal power struggles. The UN fears a unified Brotherhood believing it would lead to a Second Tiberium War, thus GDI must suffocate any unification attempt under a hardliner and war-driven leader. GDI plans to allow General Hassan, a malleable Egyptian despot, to come to power thus ensuring another decade of relative peace. However a threat to this plan has emerged in Sudan, in the form of a charismatic Brotherhood leader by the name of Brother Abdul, whom preaches judgement on heretics and the decadent.
The story follows the journey of a young soldier as he enlists into GDI, completes basic training and becomes part of the troop surge to bolster GDI’s occupying forces in Sarajevo as GDI tries to contain the sectarian fighting plaguing the city.

Current Progress:
We have been working quietly doing pre-production for the last 18 months creating the following:
  • Extensive game design documentation that gives artists the necessary artistic direction
  • Finalised concept art for infantry, weapons and a few vehicles
  • Begun modelling various key assets
  • Prototyping game mechanics and programming AI

    Character Artists
    • Experienced and proficient with 3D Studio MAX or Maya, Zbrush (and/or Mudbox) and Photoshop, displaying strong 3d modelling and texturing skills
    • proficient in retopology; model detailed high poly models and good at creating efficient low poly versions
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of human and creature anatomy
    • Experience of character pipelines and efficient memory management of UVs, textures and vertices
    Animators
    • Experienced and proficient with 3D Studio MAX, Maya or MotionBuilder
    • Skilled in creating stunning in-game animations that are both fluid and responsive for human figure as well as other organic forms
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work closely with Artists, Designers and Programmers in the integration of animations
    • Previous experience with Cryengine desired, but experience with UDK, Unreal 4 or Unity acceptable
    • Experience with motion capture animation would be a bonus.
    Programmers
    • Knowledge of C++ (must have)
    • Knowledge of LUA and XML for Entity creation and configuration (must have)
    • Knowledge of SVN or GIT version control systems (must have)
    • Knowledge of CryEngine3 Editor (preferred)
    • Knowledge of Flowgraphs for rapid prototyping of game features (bonus)
    • Knowledge of ActionScript2/3 and Scaleform for GUI elements like HUDs and main-menu etc. (bonus)

    Update on GDI Rifle
    The rifle has been produced in a modular fashion in order to allow operators to customize their weapon to better suit their role on the battlefield. The carry rail and iron sights are removable to make room for optics.

    Modules not pictured; under-barrel shotgun, suppressor, night vision optics, x3 magnifier optic, alternative magazine.

    The M80 Zolja (Wasp) is a portable one-shot disposable 64 mm unguided anti-tank weapon designed in the former Yugoslavia and still in production in Serbia. The M80 is similar in design to the American M72 LAW, which were both deployed by Nod and GDI during the Tiberium War of 1999-2001. The M80 continues to be used by Nod militias in the Bosnian Insurgency despite GDI's best efforts to restrict the flow of Serbian produced arms reaching the black market.
