Occulus rift & udk?

Guys, I have a friend who is working on a project using occulus rift and udk (February version).He is saying occulus does not work with this version.Is there a way one can export both maps and package to a previous version of udk.I can't help wondering why udk isn't backward compartible, especially if something lie this happens.

Any suggestions?

    Packages you can just drag and drop out of the content folder and as for maps, (if they don't open) you can go to an orthogonal view hold CTRL + ALT and click and drag to make a selection box. CTRL + C and then open a note pad and CTRL + V. Then you can paste that into a view port and it should paste all your stuff.

    Guys, tired this.It imported the terrain, some assets but the textures for the terrain and a lot of prefabs are completely missing.I copied the upk files from the newer udk folder to the older udk. Still no assets showed up.I have a lot of prefabs in the newer udk version.
    Is there something I am doing wrong?
