Howdy, I'm Plunk and I'm looking for a 3D modeler for an interesting challenge.

I am developing a boardgame on Kickstarter, it's met its funding goal and now I'm considering stretch goals, one which would be cool would be to have a plastic miniature of the main monster to use as a game piece.

I expect this to be a small range game, maybe 300 copies in the first production round, and I was thinking that it would not be quick and cost effective enough to have an actual sculptor make a miniature and then cast it in plastic molds.

So instead, I am considering looking for an paying a 3D sculptor to develop the model, and then send it to Shapeways to get it printed. I know very little of 3D sculpting, so I am hoping someone on Polycount can enlighten me.

I'd assume that designing a 3D model to be physically printed would need to be a bit exaggerated / caricature, and for bits and pieces to be solidly connected to the body.

Further details:
It's a board game themed as a slasher horror movie, the figure would be a menacing psychopath in a crow costume

Hi, I am a traditional sculptor / Model maker for 20 years. I have been using zbrush since the very first version. I also have a lot of experience working in the games industry on next gen character models using max and zbrush. I also have a 3d printer and access to many more types of print technologies so I can build your model easily. One thing that may make me stand out from the crowd is that I have years of experience with taking zbrush models and printing them. There are many things that you have to bear in mind when sculpting a printed model that a regular zbrush artist wont appreciate. Let me know if you would like me to help ... thanks www.alandickinson.net
