CAT rig with root motion issues

Hello (:

I've got my character rigged and into UE4 using CAT rig, which works great, however my roll and attack animation requires a bit of root motion. I have the root motion set up, but my root is the pelvis, which is not at 0,0,0 which causes the animation to look weird, in 3DS Max I'm trying to parent the pelvis to a new bone on the floor at 0,0,0 but it doesn't seem to be doing anything...

EDIT: Will this mean I'll have to redo my animations?
