It's really great for sketching, infinite canvas ect, great brushes. It's good for inking too. I don't really like how some tools are set up but that's probably because i'm used to photoshop.
I love it when brainstorming ideas, I really like pencil sketching with it. But that's about it, serious color work and use of layer are just better in photoshop. I guess it's designed to be used together with photoshop, and I totally see why. It's totally worth the money imo

Wow thanks for the vid, I enjoyed it a lot!
On sketchbook, I used it a bit (didnt look like what trent made) and its really good. Its quick and intuitive and like was said in the clip there is the possibility to use curves which is something that would be really handy for product designers.

Its a great product.

I use the old mobile version on my tablet. It pretty much works as advertised, wont blow your hair back but it's decent. Unfortunatey Autodesk moved it to a subscription model with a ton of social network integration. Personally I don't think it's worth an annual fee.

If you're serious about making art and using a laptop or desktop, look into Krita, Manga Studio, or Photoshop at $10/mo. The last two are what most professionals use.

A lot of people hate Adobe's subscription model but if you do the math and consider what else you'd spend that $10 on, it's pretty cheap. In Boston, I just spent $12.50 on lunch. Gamefly costs $16.

If you want something mobile, look at ArtRaid.

The interface is nice, I like it better with a cintiq or highly sensitive tablet than photoshop, it is more intuitive and flows pretty nice. Very easy to use also. I do wish it had more features, but it still makes and keeps sketching fun.

for me sketchbook designer looks more interesting...
cause of those spline and gradient tools...
you paint a line and get an editable spline...

Yeah, I bought Mischief a little while back ($25, hard to beat) and it's really nice for dabbling around with ideas in your head. The infinite canvas and easy to use brushes are quick to get up and running.
