That being said, it really sucked when I was deployed to Iraq knowing that I was making just enough to keep my house note paid when the guy sitting right across the desk from me, doing the same job as me, doing half the work, was making a half a million a year as a contractor.

as to the engine, looks like they haven't done any major overhauls or updates? (it's good enough for a Xbone though)
I am pretty sure they did ... Exposure control alone looks a lot better than in any previous CoD.
It generates hundreds of millions of dollars every year. The COD will continue until sales degrade.
This one looks interesting though. I like the future-tech equipment and Kevin Spacey is a great bad guy ... I'll give this one a go!
Well, don't mind me. I will pass any FPS that will be released over next 4 years.
But if next cod would be TPS. Man. I would be first in line to buy it

But yeah, first time I've been interested in a CoD game for ages!

Joking aside the trailer was cool. Looking forward to seeing gameplay.
I dig the whole idea of this one. I'm a bit curious to see how some of the future tech plays out with multiplayer. Running up walls could either be really cool or really annoying.
I like the future tech and it kinda reminds me of elysium on some of the armor/mech stuff. which is great.
watching that trailer I have mixed feelings, Its like COD has become so huge, that because of the sucess of house of cards, they just decided to plop spacey in there. not saying its a bad, thing, he plays an awesome badguy, but my first reaction was ....ohh house of cards is big, i guess they wanted to capture some of that momentum. that and some stuff reminded me of titanfall a bit but then again BOII was future stuff as well.
I'm hopeful its gonna be awesome, the art looks fantastic as usual. I really hope they calm down the over the top everything is blowing up and im sliding through rubble not getting killed scenes but I doubt it. Nice work from everyone at sledgehammer, Ill probbaly be pickin this one up if it turns out great.

Nice, thanks Pior. Art and story look to be a nice change of pace. Recently finished House of Cards and damn does Spacey play this type of character well. This is looking pretty damn cool. Congrats to anyone who worked on it, looking forward to seeing what comes next!

Prior games were made so quickly.
If Sledgehammer wasn't shipping this fall we would have to. Which means that we finished DLC for Black Ops 2 last August/September and would have to have a full game done in a year to ship on schedule.
So that REALLY helps.
Super excited to play with the new toys you guys make and get my COD fix for the year.
i've met a lot of talented artists on this project and i'm glad that our work comes through so well in the trailer. more than a few of us are posters on PC, i think.

People can say what they like about ripping off Elysium and whatnot - as they have relentlessly done over facebook - but this looks like the first ever CoD I am considering buying.. That's saying something tbh.
May we now be in the great and glorious age of jet-bikes in FPS games
