I painted this about 3 years ago. It's of a friend who passed away. Tell me what you think? I used PS and used the basic brush for the most part set to soft for the wings and body. Enjoy
The wings look nice with the layered feathers, and your friend's face feels pretty tightly done (clean lines and highlighting).
If you're looking to take the piece further you might want to think about pushing the separation between the interior side of the wings in the back, and the front facing part of the wings to the side. Some hue variation in your shadows, like blues and purples instead of the tans and browns, could help do that.
Also, the anatomy of the body is kind of off, the body seems a bit too small for the head, and the arms look too small even for the body. Right now where you have the belly button should be the bottom of the ribs I think.
