We are looking for passionate, driven, creative, smart, funny, talented Unity3D game developers. Someone that can thrive here at VascoGames. You’ll be involved in all phases of game creation. VascoGames is a small but rapidly growing game publisher and developer, in the mobile gaming industry. We operate from our office in Emmen, we are expanding rapidly and are looking for new talent within the industry.
In your role as game developer some of your core tasks will be building and releasing high-end games in a live environment. Games that are built by our developers around the world and of course the games that are built internally. We will make sure you will be involved in all phases of development. Working closely with other developer’s means sharing ideas, experience, and best practices. This will grow your skill as game developer.
So basically your core tasks and responsibilities of the job will be:
  • Work closely with all the members within our small company.
  • Designing, creating, implementing, debugging, and refining gameplay for our developers.
  • All the above for your own internal projects.
  • Design and built your own games with up-to-date features including IAPs (in-app-purchases), social integration and cross promotion features.
  • Share your ideas and work with our other developers so ideas will be integrate to our latest games.
  • Give feedback to project leader as to implementation issues and possible improvements to the game design.
You need to possess the following skills:
  • Some kind of degree in game programming or equivalent.
  • Experience with Unity3D. If possible we would like to see a portfolio with work you already have made.
  • You need to know what the different aspects of game programming are, terms as gameplay, GUI, physics and more that won’t scare you away.
  • Knowledge of not only Unity3D but also C# scripting, textures, animations, GUI styles, and more.
  • Some experience with building IPhone and Android games.
  • You should be able to work independently, but also working within a team is no problem for you.
  • You’ll need to be able to Think outside the box.
  • Quick with picking up new tools and systems.
  • Love to work with all kind of games build in the Unity3D engine: able to do integrating textures, meshing, adjusting lighting, setting camera angles, optimization for mobile.
