Turbosmooth wont smooth.

Dearly beloved,

something strange has happened inside of 3dsmax. I was using turbosmooth (as I normally do) to created my HP and prepare it for baking. I applied TS and for some odd reason it only smooths via smoothing groups. It wont let me change this option no matter what I do and it's very frustrating. Look at the screenshots below.

its a known max bug , at least i got that too on my 2009 version, apply an edit mesh modifier before the turbosmooth

It looks like you're applying turbosmooth on a vertex selection and not the whole object. make sure your modifier is being applied at the object level and not just a couple of verts.

I hope that fixes it. Max can be so finicky.

Three quick things I like to do when this happens.

1. Two normal modifiers > Collapse
2. Edit normals modifer > Select verticies > Reset selected > Collapse
3. Convert to editable mesh > convert to edible poly

Yep, like Lt_Commander said, apply it at object level and it should work fine

Converting it too editable mesh > editable poly fixed the bug.

Applying TS on the object made no difference.

P.S I also know what caused the bug, it was booleans.. no surprise I guess lol.
