I will say tho...the brown painted wood on the building on the left around the :34 mark looks super glossy/reflective. Kinda caught my eye. I'm also a nitpicky jerk.
I'm pretty pumped about this...I hope that this level of detail/quality gets reflected in the whole game. Good stuff man.
I remember seeing some footage here at ubi montreal a while back when it was being shown internally and having my mind absolutley blown and being like "wow now THATS what nextgen is gonna be, im stoked!" I had no idea ubi toronto was also on this, congrats adam!
Looks a-mazing. Though, im always a little hesitant about alpha videos. Whether or not the game will really look like that or not. I dunno why, but fly throughs always seem to look way better than when you get a game camera in there. Definitely high hopes though. That's some jaw dropping footage right there!
Very impressive. I particularly liked how many NPCs were gathered at the end. Haven't seen masses like that in-game yet. Usually there is some trickery to make it seem like it is crowded (like spreading them out more sparsely).
Got to say I'm a but worried about AC overload as well, but having just finished Neil Stephenson's Baroque Cycle books, I am EXCITED to run around revolutionary Paris. There is no way that is not going to be a blast!
This series has lost it's "Assassin" feel since AC3, but AC4 was a fun game and i've been craving for another AC game taking place in Europe. And it's finally coming!
Looks fantastic. Anyone who worked on this should be proud. In particular I was geeking out over how the french flag colors are the first thing visible in the buildings before later architecture takes away any doubt as to the setting. Surely someone was having fun with that ?

Renaissance did not have Guillotines. That was invented in the 18th century. Your looking at the French Revolution.
Looks awesome and it's something I WOULD call Next gen (or is it actually 'this gen' now? :P), it's a shame that they make the actual gameplay of AC complete dog poop .

Unfortunately I ran into a load of performance issues with AC3 (to the point that I didn't even beat it), and have yet to pick up AC4 as a result.
Unity looks like a game I must have, but I'll still be playing catch up for awhile.

Everything looks outstanding, I might not be a fan of the gameplay of AC games but the art has always inspired me.
